Argyle Guest House has been regularly inspected and awarded the FOUR STAR rating by the English Tourism Council (VisitEngland) and 5 STARS for Service levels (2011). Their overnight accommodation in 2008 was assessed over 8 overnight stays which we passed with flying colours. The second visiting inspector was very impressed with the guest house and loved the four poster room. Subsequent visits up to 2012 saw improvements in all rooms. We have now replaced (as of Sept 2012) VisitEngland 4 stars with AA 4 stars.
Argyle House is situated in the heart of the West Cliff conservation area and just 5 minutes walk to the town centre, harbour and beach.

The miles of unspoilt coastline and villages like Robin Hoods Bay, Runswick Bay, Staithes and Goathland.
